Our
Specialized Maritime Services include:
- Supply
services to the offshore industry, between ports and offshore
facilities in the Gulf of Mexico;
- Product
tankers for the transport of petroleum products (cabotage);
- Parcel
tankers for the transport of liquid chemical and vegetable cargoes;
and
- Tugboats
that provide harsour towing services for ships at the port of
Manzanillo.
The Mexican
Navigation law provides that cabotage (intra-Mexican movement
between ports) must be conducted by Mexican-owned and Mexican
flagged vessels, which provides us with a competitive advantage
in this market.
Fleet
Management
As
of may 2006 we operated a fleet comprised of product tankers,
parcel tankers, offshore vessels and tugboats. Of a total of 36
vessels, 26 are owned tonnage (2 product tankers, 21 offshore
vessels and 3 tugboats), 7 are chartered units (4 parcel tankers,
2 offshore vessels and 1 product tanker) and 3 vessels are operated
under bare boat contracts (2 product tankers and 1 tugboat).
